In Florida, revenue generated by the sale of Sea Turtle License Plate funds critical sea turtle conservation work via the Sea Turtle Grants Program (STGP). The STGP disperses around $400,000 in grants every year to coastal counties, educational institutions and nonprofit groups. The STGP has awarded over $7 million in grants to support more than 470 sea turtle research, conservation and education projects, all thanks to license plate sales!
