Summary: This project will allow the Volusia Marine Science Center to purchase a Vyaire Carefusion LTV 1200 Portable Electric Ventilator System to aid in breathing for sea turtle patients when most critical. Ventilation post-op is also important for a successful recovery. This equipment will ensure a smoother recovery and allow staff to continue to care for other patients without the constraints of manual ventilation. Having quality and current equipment is essential for providing gold standard care to our sea turtle patients. The Vyaire Carefusion LTV Series has parameters capable of providing ventilation to large and small reptile species, which we are excited to add to our hospital capabilities.
