Summary: The Clearwater Marine Aquarium will produce Edcuational Signs at the end of beach access points would aid the CMA efforts to educate and inform tourists and residents about sea turtles. The signs will also provide a brief message of the status of sea turtle, the important impact artificial lighting has, and a contact number to call when a sea turtle is observed on the beach.

Results: CMA developed metal educational sea turtle information signs (pictured below) for placement at public beach access points in 10 cities within CMA's beach survey area in Pinellas County, Florida. At total of 200 signs were produced, 100 more than planned due to lower than expect production costs. One hundred and thirty four signs were placed at beach access points from St. Petersburg Beach north to Clearwater, Florida. The remaining 66 signs will be held as replacements for signs that deter ate or are vandalized. (Author: G. Harman)
