Summary: Sea Turtle Care and Conservation Specialists (STCCS) is a dedicated non-profit organization based in Palm Beach County, Florida. Our team, composed of experienced stranding responders with over 40 years of combined expertise, is committed to sea turtle conservation through rescue, rehabilitation, and educational outreach. We currently respond to strandings and conduct educational events to engage the public and professionals alike in marine turtle conservation. To enhance our response capabilities, this project will provide funding for essential rescue and salvage equipment, including a dip net, landing net, beach wheel kit, camera, transport sleds, structured sled, lifeguard float, gurney, starboard material, and transport bins. Each item is crucial for the safe and efficient handling of stranded and deceased sea turtles along Florida's southeast coastline. This equipment will allow us to navigate challenging terrain, safely transport turtles, and capture high-quality images and drone footage for both research and public education purposes.
