Summary: The Gulfarium C.A.R.E. Foundation rehabilitates and releases stranded sea turtles along the Gulf Coast of Florida and frequently is called upon as a rehabilitation facility for neighboring states such as Alabama. Due to this vast mileage of responsibility and the large number of sea turtles we have responded to, the C.A.R.E. Foundation will purchase a Ford Transit Cargo van to better facilitate transfer of stranded sea turtles, and their subsequent release after successful rehabilitation. The vehicle will be outfitted with a wrap identifying it as the Gulfarium C.A.R.E. Center with signage stating that the vehicle was made possible through the Sea Turtle License Plate Program with the STGP turtle plate logo included.
