In Florida, revenue generated by the sale of Sea Turtle License Plates funds critical sea turtle conservation work via the Sea Turtle Grants Program (STGP). The STGP disperses about $300,000 in grants every year to coastal counties, educational institutions and nonprofit groups. The STGP has awarded over $4 million in grants to more than 230 sea turtle research, conservation and education projects, all thanks to license plate sales!
