Summary: The development of the Turtle Rangers Activity Guides will add a new dimension to the existing Miami-Dade County Sea Turtle Nesting and Relocation Program. This approach will creatively educate youngsters, ages 4-12, about sea turtle awareness and behavior.
Results: The Miami-Dade Park & Recreation Department's Sea Turtle Nesting and Relocation Program developed two activity books to be used with its educational programs. 10,000 copies of each activity book, Sea Turtle Coloring Book and "Sea Turtle Guide and Activity Book," were printed for distribution from Haulover Park and Crandon Park during the 2004 sea turtle nesting season.
